Next week EUR 10 million for 309 sports club
Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, has announced that RSD 1.2 billion, i.e. about EUR 10 million, will be paid to the accounts of 309 sports clubs next week.
Mali said in the Assembly of Serbia that a special decree for financial support to sports organizations would be adopted at the government session on Thursday.
“This refers to karate, athletics, taekwondo, boxing, rowing, wrestling, kayaking, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo, archery, basketball, volleyball, water polo, handball. All the clubs from the first and second leagues, women’s and men’s, will receive financial assistance from the Government of Serbia,” said Mali.
The Minister of Finance added that RSD 20 million would be paid for the Paralympic sport.
“Huge support for our sport, our athletes, although there is still a great crisis caused by covid-19. We do not give up investing in sports, and not only in sports infrastructure,” said Mali.
The Minister recalled that the budget for 2022, which was adopted on Tuesday in the Parliament, also allocated funds for the completion of the multifunctional hall at Kosutnjak, for the beginning of the construction of the shooting range at Careva cuprija and various other projects.
Mali said that the construction of football stadiums throughout Serbia was continuing.
