Novi Pazar: Hospital Director SUES 25 people who CRITICIZED his work

At the Basic Court of Novi Pazar, 25 proceedings are underway against persons who were sued by acting director of the General Hospital in that town, Meho Mahmutovic, for insults, or in which he asked for compensation for damage, Sto plus radio reported today.

Out of 24 private lawsuits, four proceedings were legally finalized, with two being ruled in Mahmutovic’s favor, and the defendants were fined RSD 30,000 and RSD 50,000, respectively, while two were suspended.

Twenty proceedings on private criminal lawsuits are still ongoing.
Mahmutovic also filed 13 lawsuits for damages, of which eight have been resolved so far, with four lawsuits being withdrawn by the director of the General Hospital himself, while the Basic Court rejected two of them as unfounded.

One dispute ended with the settlement and payment of RSD 10,000 to defendant Mahmutovic, while in one the Court partially accepted the request of the director of the General Hospital and ordered the defendant to pay him RSD 60,000.

The acting director of the General Hospital in Novi Pazar filed lawsuits mainly against citizens and health workers who criticized his work and actions during the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic in this town last year in public, media and on social networks.
