Number of INFECTION CASES rises: Novi Pazar introduces EMERGENCY SITUATION
Novi Pazar has introduced an emergency situation due to the increase in the number of coronavirus patients. The decision was made at an online session of the town crisis staff for emergency situations. The decision includes the measures of banning the gathering of more than five people in public areas, banning the organization of family celebrations, but also restricting the work of catering facilities from 7 am to 7 pm, Radio-televizija Srbije reports. During the operation of catering facilities, the number of people at the same table cannot exceed two, and a distance of two meters between the tables is mandatory. Furthermore, consuming and using hookahs is prohibited. All medical institutions will be disinfected every day, as well as their surroundings, but also the busiest town streets. The Public Health Institute in Novi Pazar says that this situation is expected due to the excessive relaxation of the locals from the moment the Government’s measures were terminated. Until May, 100 patients were registered in Novi Pazar, and from May until today, 200 more, so the total number of patients in that town is currently 339. The Institute also says that the situation is still under control.
