RSD 749 BILLION from taxes

According to latest data from the Tax Administration, tax collection has been growing significantly for the fourth consecutive year, and collection trend is noticeable in all most basic and most important public revenues. Since the beginning of the year, taxpayers have collected a total of RSD 749 billion in tax revenues, which is 5.5 percent more than in the same period last year, when this collection was RSD 709.9 billion. The highest collection was recorded in the personal income tax category, RSD 95.8 billion, which is 15 percent more than in the same period last year, Tax Administration confirmed for the „Politika“ daily. At the same time, income tax worth RSD 76.1 billion was collected, i.e. 12.2 percent more than in the same period last year. Taxpayers also collected RSD 323.9 billion of compulsory social security contributions, which represents a collection increase by 8.7 percent when compared to the same period last year, while RSD 165.4 billion was collected based on gross domestic value-added tax. Collection was RSD 155.8 billion in the same period of 2018, thus this represents an increase by 6.2 percent.
