Serbia and China: Tourists CANCEL TRIPS, work SLOWED DOWN
Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Rasim Ljajic, has said that because of the ban on trips from China, the citizens of that country have massively canceled their previous travel arrangements for February, March and mid-April. As a guest on Prva TV, Ljajic said that, for now, there were no cancellations of jobs and contracts that had been signed so far, but that there was a certain slowdown in the implementation of these agreements, and that, at the moment, the export of wood and timber had been stopped. He also said that there was no increase in the sale of certain food items in Serbia, like in some parts of Europe, due to fears of the coronavirus epidemic, and that he had been told at a meeting with the representatives of major retailers that there were sufficient quantities of supplies and goods and that there was no need for citizens to create personal supplies. Ljajic also said that to date there had been no cancellations of flights from Serbia to any destination.
