Serbia procures additional 2 MILLION Chinese vaccines
Serbia has signed an agreement with Sinopharm for the purchase of two million vaccines from this Chinese manufacturer.
The signing was also attended by President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, together with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Chen Bo.
As it was announced by the Presidency, Vucic talked via a video link with the management of Sinopharm about the process of vaccine procurement, the construction of the Chinese vaccine factory in Serbia, as well as the construction and equipment of Serbian hospitals.
During the meeting, the Agreement on the purchase of two million doses of Sinopham vaccines was signed, which was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Chen Bo.
Vucic conveyed his gratitude to President of China, Xi Jinping, the leadership of the Communist Party and the representatives of Sinopharm for their help in the supply of vaccines, and he said that most of Serbian citizens were vaccinated with that vaccine.
He pointed out that Serbian experts had given a very high opinion on the quality and safety of the Sinopharm vaccine.
Chairman of the Sinopharm Group, Liu Jingzhen, thanked the President and the citizens of Serbia for the trust in the Sinopharm company, adding that since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, Sinopharm, as the largest pharmaceutical company in China, had taken responsibility for fighting this disease.
