State job: Fewer and fewer public employees
The number of employees in Serbia increased by 156,250 between 2015 and 2018. However, number of employees in the public sector decreased by 29,120 in the same period, the „Blic“ daily reports.
There were 635,220 employees in the public sector in 2015, and each year that number decreased, thus at the end of the year behind us there were 606,118 employees in public sector.
According to data that the „Blic“ daily obtained, the number of budget users decreased in the above mentioned period by 12,560, mostly in state-level administration – 5,715 workers fewer than in 2015.
