Stojiljkovic about a million UNEMPLOYED in autumn: Verifiable and SUPPORTED BY ARGUMENTS

President of the United Industrial Trade Unions „Nezavisnost“, Zoran Stojiljkovic, has said that the number of the unemployed in our country is expected to increase to around one million in autumn. He pointed out that within the Social and Economic Council, an agreement had to be reached on the next steps that would help both the employees and those who lost their jobs. Speaking about the announcements by this trade union that there is a danger that the number of the unemployed in Serbia will be around one million in autumn, he said for N1 TV that this information was presented after an analysis, and with a lot of supportive arguments. „The number of the unemployed before the pandemic was about 550,000 people, to that number we should add a third of those who returned from Western Europe, and the expectation that about 10 percent of the employees will lose their jobs. We should add to that number 850 to 900 thousand of those that are not registered, so this statement of one million unemployed is verifiable“, he pointed out. Stojiljkovic said there was no political dialogue in the country. „The lack of dialogue leads to anger, nervousness and extreme distrust. I do not remember such degree of distrust that currently exists in the country since 1997 or 1998,“ said Stojiljkovic.
