Technology giant pays VAT in BiH
One of the world’s largest technology companies, Apple, has become the first foreign company to pay VAT in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the services that citizens of that country bought online.
Ratko Kovacevic, a spokesman for the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH, has said that Apple registered as a VAT payer on February 5, 2021, and that on March 10 it submitted its VAT return for the first time through Deloitte BiH, which is their tax representative, the Nezavisne novine daily reports.
All the citizens who bought certain online services from Apple in February 2021 were issued invoices with calculated VAT, which was reported in the VAT return of that company, said Kovacevic.
