    The concept of the action plan for the suppression of the gray economy in Serbia is agreed on

    Today, Serbian Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali chaired the session of the Coordination Body for the Suppression of Grey Economy, at which the final concept of the Action Plan for the Suppression of Grey Economy was agreed on.

    As announced by the Ministry of Finance, the Action Plan should be adopted soon at the session of the Government of Serbia.

    The session was attended by Serbian Minister of Justice Nela Kuburovic, Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government of Serbia Branko Ruzic, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of Serbia Zoran Djordjevic and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia Branislav Nedimovic. The interlocutors agreed that the Action Plan would contribute to a better economic and business environment, as well as better position of workers, given that the grey economy continues to have a large share in gross domestic product (GDP)“ the statement says.

    It is added that the Action Plan includes a set of control and incentive measures to make control more efficient, prevent grey economy and facilitate business operations. The Action Plan has five goals: more efficient monitoring of the grey economy flows, improvement of the operation of the Tax Administration for the purpose of the more efficient tax collection, incentive measures for fair competition, legal entrepreneurship and employment, administrative relief and raising awareness of the citizens and businesses about the importance of combating grey economy.
