The first draft of the Law on the Origin of Property is released

The Ministry of Justice has published on its website the first Draft of the Law on the Origin of Property and Special Tax, so that all the interested parties could get acquainted with the new proposed legal solutions.

The draft of this law proposes the introduction of a new way of regulating the conditions and procedures for determining the assets and the increase in the assets of a natural person, his/her income acquired during a certain period, as well as a special tax on the increase in assets whose legality of acquisition cannot be proven by a natural person.

In the upcoming period, the Ministry of Justice will open a public debate so that the expert and general public can submit their comments and suggestions in order to improve the text of the law.

The first draft of the Law on the Origin of Property and Special Tax was prepared by a task force of the Ministry of Justice, comprised of the representatives of the ministries of justice, finance and the Tax Administration, the Ministry of Justice stated.
