The first electric parking for bicycles and scooters in Serbia (PHOTO)
Users of electric scooters and bicycles can relieve themselves of worries when it comes to parking and charging their electric vehicles, because Belgrade got its first parking place for storing and charging electric scooters and bicycles on the Kalemegdan Fortress, which will be free for all citizens and visitors of Belgrade.
Belgrade thus found itself among the world’s metropolises that enabled their citizens the convenience of parking this type of ecological vehicles.
This initiative was created within the „Tockologija“ project, where it was recognized that more and more citizens accept alternative means of transport due to the pandemic, but also the number of initiatives to reduce emissions of harmful gasses of vehicles in traffic is increasing, the enterprise „Beogradska tvrdjava“ announced.
„Smart city“ type station that combines secure parking and charging of electric ‘wheels’ is available in the part of the Mali Kalemegdan park, on the location between the stairs and the Constantinople Road, and it is completely free of charge for all citizens.
The very space on the parking itself is unlocked via the Bikeep app on a mobile phone or via a contactless card and has four levels of security (steel construction, video surveillance, a siren and signal forwarding in case of an attempted theft).
