The market continues to go WILD: 85 percent of real estate was paid in cash in June

14,121 real estate purchase agreements were concluded in Serbia in June this year, which is 16 percent more than at the same time last year.

When compared to June 2019, the increase was 46.5 percent, the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) announced.

During June, a total of 15,448 real estates were traded on the territory of Serbia, out of which there were 5,613 land transactions, 3,729 transactions of facilities and 6,106 transactions of special parts of facilities.

As stated, the amount of money on the real estate market amounted to EUR 549.7 million in June.

The dominant way of paying for real estate in June was in cash – amounted to 85 percent of realized transactions.

Loans were mostly used to purchase apartments (34 percent), while at the same time 99 percent of land was paid in cash.

Apartments in Belgrade were paid mostly using loans, 38 percent, followed by Vojvodina with 36 percent, then Sumadija and Western Serbia with 27 percent, and the smallest share of credit financing of apartments was in Southern and Eastern Serbia, 26 percent.
