The Ministry of Education: Diplomas from Serbia are valid abroad
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development rejected as false allegations by certain media that validity of diplomas from faculties in Serbia is jeopardized in other countries. In a statement, the Ministry said that the validity of diplomas „does not depend on Serbia’s membership to the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA)“ and accused certain media of „unnecessarily raising panic and misleading the public“ with their articles. „The National Body for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Serbia (NAT) is an independent body and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development does not have any jurisdiction over the issues of independent bodies. Previously, the Academic Solidarity and Engagement Network (MASA), which brings together members of the academic community, announced that the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) has suspended membership to the National Accreditation Body.
