THREE MAJOR construction projects to begin in Belgrade by the end of the year

Marko Stojcic, the Chief Urbanist of the City of Belgrade, stated that the construction of subway, a new Sava bridge and the Line Park will begin by the end of the year, Beoinfo reports.

He stated with Super Sat TV station that the period of the coronavirus pandemic was used to prepare projects for the construction of the subway, as the largest construction intervention in the last few decades, as well as the Line Park, which he said would „significantly change the character of a large part of the city.“

„He also expects the beginning of the construction of National Stadium, as well as its accompanying contents, but also a number of faculties and campuses for students and professors, as well as continuation of the construction of schools and kindergartens,“ Stojcic said.

He also announced that the Serbian History Museum will soon move into the old building of the railway station on the reconstructed Sava Square, as well as the completion of a part of the square behind that building with the future subway station.
