Vesic on the new demolition: At the request of citizens, a SLUM-LIKE AREA that has been like that for decades (PHOTO)
The City of Belgrade has removed illegal facilities in Resavska and Visegradska Street today, next to the Emergency Centre. As Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic posted on the official Facebook page, city authorities have carried out the demolition at the request of citizens. He states that these facilities and their owners have usurped public sidewalks for decades, and made this area look like slums. „We continue to introduce order. The Resavska Street has recently been reconstructed, now illegal objects have been removed, and the reconstruction of Kneza Milosa Street will begin soon,” Vesic said.
