Vucic announced the end of the works on the Temple, Putin is coming to the opening

The Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, stated that the works on the Temple of Saint Sava, in which, as he said, state has invested 43 million euros in the last three years, will be completed before the end of October. Vucic expressed gratitude to the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and the company Gazprom for the donation of 10.5 million euros for the construction, stating that he expects the presence of the Russian President at the opening of the temple. He assessed that the Belgrade temple, whose construction began in 1935, „in a special and indirect way“ is becoming the new Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, which was transformed this year from a museum into a mosque.
