„This is a big day for our country. State-of-the-art aircraft industry has arrived in Serbia. A third of all the aircraft in the world has parts produced by the MTU factory. This is a great project for us. A project that means a new high-tech life. Serbia is returning to the sky of the global and European aircraft industry,“ President Aleksandar Vucic said after the meeting with the leaders of this German giant.
Vucic announced that a contract for the construction of modern plants will be signed in June. According to him, production will be launched in Stara Pazova, where the factory will be built.

„The aircraft industry is growing in the world. And it will continue to grow. These people from MTU are not concerned at all. They know that they will have a market in the next 30 or 50 years. They have long-term strategies. They will not leave our country in the next 50 years. This is important for us because it takes us into a higher economic league,“ Vucic said.
