Vulin’s wish fulfilled: Parliament Speaker and Minister of Police vaccinated with Sputnik V (PHOTO)

Parliament Speaker of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, and Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandar Vulin, have been vaccinated with the Russian vaccine „Sputnik V“ against the coronavirus.

Dacic emphasized that it was important that state officials received vaccines from various global manufacturers, which, as he said, aimed to create the trust of citizens in vaccination.

„This is not about political reasons. We want to show that we participate in the protection of public health, because the trust of citizens in the vaccination process was a victim of various conspiracy theories. We welcome the vaccination process as the first step towards the final overcoming of the covid-19 pandemic,“ said Dacic after receiving the vaccine in front of the Torlak Institute.

At no time did Minister Vulin doubt the appropriateness of vaccination, because, as he said, „just as he firmly believes that the Earth is round, he also believes that vaccines are good and that everyone should receive them.“

„The vaccine against covid-19 is not the only choice, but it is, in my opinion, the only correct choice. We need to fight against the pandemic, and people should have maximum trust in our doctors and our medical system,“ Vulin pointed out.

He added that Serbia was one of the few countries where, as he indicated, people could get vaccines from all global manufacturers, „completely free of charge“.

„I really wanted a Russian vaccine because I believe in Russian medicine. I thus fulfilled a little wish for myself,“ the minister said.
