Workers of „Posta“ ending the strike

Employees of „Posta“ are ending the strike, following conversation between their representatives and Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, as they were promised that two thirds of demands will be fulfilled.

Their request for salary increase will not be fulfilled for now, but in April they will receive a short-term compensation that, according to representatives of employees on strike, will not be lower than RSD 20,000.

„Agreement on distribution of the second part of profit for 2017 will be urgently signed on Monday. We will take part in work of the commission – budget plan for 2020 will be adopted in November. We have received strong assurances that those who have salaries lower than RSD 40,000 will perhaps reach even RSD 50,000 via pay grade levelling, i.e. change in the coefficient,“ Vladimir Djokic from „Posta Srbije“ has announced.

As a reminder, they have been on strike for several days, and on Friday they talked with Director of „Posta“ Mira Petrovic, but they were displeased with those negotiations because, as they said at the time, they did not receive concrete offers, only promises.

As a reminder, representatives of employees on strike requested that there are no penalties for workers who participated in work suspension because, as they claim, they received warnings that people would lose their jobs, or be downshifted. Today they have been assured that this will not happen.
