AIK banka officially took over Gorenjska banka

AIK banka has successfully completed the procedure of the takeover of the majority stake in Gorenjska banka.

By taking over 90.11% of the shares, it became the new owner of this Slovenian bank. By strengthening its position in the region, AIK banka simultaneously gets the opportunity to, together with Gorenjska banka, offer its customers a quality service in the European Union.  On the other hand, as a strategic investor, AIK banka will support the development of Gorenjska banka into a strong regional bank present on the entire market of Slovenia, said Chairwoman of the Executive Board of AIK banka and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Gorenjska banka, Jelena Galic.

According to the Chairman of the Management Board of Gorenjska banka, Mario Henjak, with AIK banka, this Slovenian bank has received a strategic partner, which announced full support to the bank in its further development. This creates a new banking group that will have an important role both in Slovenia and abroad in the future.
