An investment of EUR 140 million: Continental opened a NEW FACTORY in Serbia
The company Continental Automotive Serbia has opened a facility in Novi Sad that will produce advanced electronic vehicle management systems.
As it was said at the opening, the value of an investment is EUR 140 million, and more than 500 people will be employed in the factory.
Representatives of the Continental said that demand for products of the automotive industry, which will be produced in Novi Sad, will „increase significantly“.
The factory will produce state of the art electronic parts for the automotive industry, which will bear the label – made in Serbia.
This new factory is part of the Continental Human Machine Interface (HMI) business unit.
Continental has had a Centre for Research and Development in Novi Sad for three years, and the company has so far employed more than 600 IT engineers.
The German Continental, founded in 1871, operates in 59 countries and employs more than 240,000 people. It manufactures braking systems, electronics, safety equipment, drive system and chassis parts, tachographs, tires and other parts for automotive and transportation industry.
