Average salaries jumped more than 7% and exceeded RSD 60,000

The average net salary, without taxes and contributions, amounted to RSD 60,109 in this year’s October in Serbia, while the average gross salary was RSD 83,106, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS) announced today.

The growth of gross earnings in the period from January to October, compared to the same period last year, was 9.5 percent in nominal terms and 7.8 percent in real terms, while at the same time net earnings increased by 9.4 percent in nominal terms, i.e. 7.7 percent. percent in real.

Compared to the same month last year, the average gross and net salaries for October 2020 are nominally higher by 9.2 percent in nominal and 7.3 percent in real terms.

The median net salary for October 2020 was RSD 46,382, which means that 50 percent of employees earned up to that amount, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.
