Belgrade Waterfront: The largest shopping mall in the region opened, jobs for 5,000 people (PHOTO)
The shopping centre “Gallery Belgrade” has been opened today on the Belgrade Waterfront location, and it is the largest shopping centre in the region.
Construction of the 300,000-square-metre facility began in 2017, and the investor is the company Eagle Hills from the United Arab Emirates.
“Gallery Belgrade” has a transparent roof, and within it there are shops, restaurants and cafes across 20 percent of the space, as well as two entertainment complexes, a cinema and 3,600 parking spaces.
The opening of the shopping centre was attended by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, the Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, and the President of the company Eagle Hills, Mohamed Alabbar.
Vucic said that 5,000 people would be employed in the “Belgrade Gallery”, and that around 1,100 workers were engaged in its construction.
