BIZLife „30 under 30“ list: Nikola Nedeljkovic, Director, Grekodom Development in Serbia

Nikola was born in 1992 in Belgrade. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management. After completing his studies, he started working for Grekodom Development, a company which operates in the field of real estate in Greece and Cyprus, and is also part of one of the largest groups in Greece – Mouzenidis Group, which business includes companies: Mouzenidis Travel, an airline Ellinair, Bomo Hotels, MBG Consulting Services and many others.

He started his career as a sales manager, where he worked on the Serbia-Greece route and, as he emphasizes, he gained vast knowledge and significant experience. After two years of work, in the first half of 2019 he became the director of branch office of Grekodom Development in Serbia, where he continues his development and together with his team contributes to successful results that the company achieves.

He speaks English and Russian.

Why did you decide to stay in Serbia?

One of the most important reasons why I decided to stay in Serbia is, above all, the presence of my family and friends, who provide me with immense support and counselling in everything I do, both in business and in private life.

By chance, I spent several years of my life abroad and I want to emphasize that it was a great and beautiful experience, especially when it comes to meeting people, different mentalities, cultures, different way of thinking. I think that this experience is very important for me in perceiving the situations I encounter on daily basis. I must emphasize that my goal has always been to build my life and business career in Serbia, and I am convinced that, if you are hardworking, it is possible to achieve all that. Also, I believe that life gives you at least three potential opportunities and I really want to use them all in the country where I was born and raised. Each and every single one of us is creating his own life, his own future, and I am more than certain that my path is directed towards Serbia.

What did you want to be when you were little?

A professional athlete – basketball player.

Favourite school subject?

In school this was geography, during faculty this was economic and financial analysis.

Business role model?

My father.
