CRIMINAL CHARGES for FALSE NEWS about coronavirus

The Ministry of Health has filed criminal charges against an unidentified person for spreading false news, causing panic and disorder, in relation an audio recording of a woman shared via Viber and WhatsApp applications since Tuesday evening, claiming that number of sick and deceased people from COVID-19 is kept a secret. The Ministry of Health has once again urged everyone not to be deceived by false information that is published via various forms of social communication, and for which it is impossible to determine the credibility and source of such information. In the meantime, the Ministry of Interior has announced that police officials of the Department for Battle against Cyber Crime, by the order of the competent Prosecutor’s Office, are intensively working on identifying the person who created the video, suspected of committing criminal offence of causing panic and disorder.
