EUR2.5 million for science, innovations and technology transfer in Serbia

A new wine storage device, an intelligent system for predicting yield of fruit crops, new probiotic cultures for treatment of intestinal infections – are just some of the inventions of the Technology Transfer Program. This program abets cooperation between the academic community and economy in Serbia.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Innovation Fund, the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia and the World Bank have marked today completion of the Serbia Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer Project, funded by EUR2.5 million from the European Union Pre-Accession Funds (IPA) for 2013, realized in cooperation with the World Bank.

The Technology Transfer Office, established within the Innovation Fund, has succeeded in abetting collaboration between academic and private sector and supporting placement of scientific research into the market.
