„I wonder where all these people are going, this is what happened in Italy“

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has said that if the Government’s recommendation that senior citizens should stay home is not complied with, no measure by the Serbian Government will produce results, and that „if there are still so many people in the streets“ the most drastic measure will be introduced, which is a curfew. After the Crisis Staff session, Brnabic once again urged all citizens not to go outside, not to create crowds, not to go to cafes, not to use city transport without urgent need, and she stressed that, otherwise, they would have no choice but to introduce a curfew. „I wonder where all these people are going. This is what happened in Italy. If it continues, I will not have a problem, I think the president will support me, then we will not talk about crowds in transportation,“ Brnabic said. She announced that she was considering prohibiting anyone older than the age of 65 from leaving their homes, backyards and imposing a fine of RSD 150,000 regarding these offenses. The Prime Minister of Serbia said the Government would adopt additional measures. We agreed that the situation with civic discipline was indeed a concern, the Prime Minister said. We will hold a Government session at which we will tighten the measures, she said.
