    Kragujevac’s „layoff“: Fiat’s workers worked only 40 days in 2020

The paid leave for the workers of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia factory has been extended again, so they will be on a break until October 6, when the production of Fiat 500L continues, as the Beta agency was told in the trade union Nezavisnost.

President of the trade union Nezavisnost of FCA in Kragujevac, Zoran Stanic, said that the employees in 2020 had only about 40 working days.

He pointed out that, unlike production workers, the employees in services and administration go to work during the so-called „layoff“.

According to Stanic, 20 non-production workers left the factory in August, and the reason for the outflow of professional staff is the salary.

FCA’s production workers were on the so-called „layoff“ from September 18 to 30.

At the beginning of September, production was renewed in the factory, after the collective summer vacation and the paid leave that started on July 20.
