LOCATION of Sinopharm vaccine plant in Serbia revealed (PHOTO)
The Belgrade Land Development Public Agency has determined the location for the „Sinopharm“ vaccine plant, within the economic zone „Autoput“, near Zemun Polje, the Municipality of Zemun announced.
After obtaining the technical documentation, Belgrade based Highway Institute, as the most favourable bidder, will be entrusted with utility infrastructure, which work will be paid RSD 61.78 million, VAT excluded.
The utility infrastructure includes the solution of property and legal issues, preparation of technical documentation which is scheduled for October 25th and construction of access roads via urgent procedure, it is added in the announcement.
The plant, in which the Chinese vaccine will initially be packaged, and later produced as well, will be a joint investment of Serbia, China and the United Arab Emirates, and a facility for the production of PCR tests is planned as well.
Serbian side will provide land and infrastructure for the plant that will be built based on the „turn-key“ system.
