Mali: FULL SALARY for postpartum women, OVERSIGHTS are investigated

The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, stated that pregnant and postpartum women will not be financially damaged in any way and they will continue to receive the full amount of salary compensation during their pregnancy and maternity leave, as it has been the case so far, the Ministry of Finance announced.

As he pointed out, that means that both pregnant and postpartum women who work in companies that have accepted the postponement of payment of taxes and contributions, will receive the full amount of salary compensation and there will be no reduction of that compensation.

Mali pointed out that the Decree on Fiscal Benefits and Direct Contributions to Economic Entities in the Private Sector and Financial Assistance to Citizens in Order to Mitigate the Economic Consequences Caused by the Covid-19 Disease, explicitly prescribes such measures.

The competent departments are currently investigating all issued decisions with the amounts of salary compensation for postpartum women, in order to determine how and in what way a possible oversight happened.
