Nebojsa Saponjic exclusively for BIZLife: Leading distributor without a SINGLE DAY OF DOWNTIME (VIDEO)

The pandemic of corona virus also affected the transport and logistics sector, but it managed to quickly adapt to the changes, thanks to state aid, but also a change in the way it works, which means primarily digitalization of process, stated from the NELT Group.

The whole situation was an interesting test for us, but we quickly made the whole story right and responded to needs of the market, we did not have a single day of downtime, since we work with consumer goods, from food to chemicals, and we had state aid and have been allowed to have an unhindered flow of goods abroad„, says one of the founders of the NELT group, Nebojsa Saponjic, for the BIZLife portal.

On the sidelines of the Kopaonik Business Forum, Saponjic stated with BIZLife media house that in the beginning they had problems, as everyone did everywhere, but they managed to find solutions.

The problem was primarily due to the staff, low-skilled warehouse workers and drivers, but, he adds, they responded very well to that and that there were no further problems.

He stated that there are currently no special challenges and NELT has „adapted“ to Covid-19 and the business is functioning in accordance with the situation.

All that, he says, pushed them to turn more to the digitalization of process, since there are not many trips and contacts.

I expect that everything will continue in the right direction and that corona will slowly disappear, said Saponjic.

At the panel within the Kopaonik Business Forum, he said that for him as a businessman, the barriers at the borders and the fact that trucks are waiting for hours bother him the most.

We should work quickly on simplifying the procedures at borders, because that waiting time is not particularly suitable for companies that export products with short expiration date, such as fruits and vegetables, said Saponjic.

He also said that he believes that the rule of law and lack of staff are basic problems when it comes to the investment climate.
