The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, cannot say how much the purchase of vaccines against the coronavirus cost Serbia, emphasizing that no country talks about prices.

The Prime Minister of Serbia stated with Happy TV station that „no country talks about prices, not even the EU that negotiates collectively“, which is why she cannot say how much the purchase of vaccines against the coronavirus cost Serbia.

She said that „ways in which vaccines are procured are incredible“ and personal friendship and connections of President Aleksandar Vucic are „crucial“ for Serbia to receive vaccines.

She stated that Serbia has so far signed contracts for 12,332,200 doses of vaccines against the coronavirus, and 1,970,220 vaccines have arrived so far, adding that state’s goal is to provide every Serbian citizen with two doses of coronavirus vaccine.

According to her, Serbia is the only country in the world that managed to buy vaccines and get them from the Chinese Sinopharm,“ without participating in the third phase of the clinical study.“
