Open letter signed by 350 doctors: Situation is disastrous, we demand new Crisis Staff

A group of about 350 doctors gathered in the informal group „United Against Covid“ in an open letter sent to the Government of Serbia and other relevant institutions sharply distance themselves from the National Crisis Staff for the fight against covid-19 and demand its dismissal, stating that Serbia is facing a public health disaster. The doctors who signed the open letter demand the formation of a new Crisis Staff, the investigation of the allegations of data concealment, and putting a stop to the „intimidation and politicization that violate the personal dignity of health workers.“ As doctors who took an oath in which, among other things, they pledge to „preserve the honor and finest traditions of the medical calling „, the signatories to the proclamation consider it their „moral and professional obligation to point out the seriousness of the current situation“.
