Our salaries increased 7% in one year, barely over 500 EUR

The average net salary in Serbia in April was RSD 58,932, which is 7.8 percent nominally higher than in the same month last year, and 7.2 percent in real terms, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced. As it was announced, the average gross salary was RSD 81,486, and compared to the same month last year, it is nominally higher by eight percent, 7.4 percent in real terms. The growth of net salary in the period January-April 2020, compared to the same period last year, was 9.6 percent in nominal terms, i.e. eight percent in real terms, while the growth of gross salary was 9.8 percent in nominal and 8.2 percent in real terms. The median net salary in April amounted to RSD 44,129, which means that 50 percent of employees had a salary up to that amount.
