Salaries INCREASED by 10 percent…in a year
The average net salary in Serbia in July this year was RSD 55,042 and was nominally higher by 11.9 percent than in the same month of 2018, and 10.1 percent higher in real terms, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced. The average gross salary (including taxes and contributions) was RSD 76,056 and was nominally higher by 11.8 percent than a year ago, and 10 percent higher in real terms. The growth of net salary in the period between January and July 2019, compared to the same period last year, was 10.1 percent in nominal terms and 7.7 percent in real terms, while gross salary increased 9.9 percent in nominal terms i.e. 7.5 percent in real terms respectively. The median net salary for the month of July was RSD 42,534, which means that 50 percent of employees earned that much money.
