Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that the cornerstone for the construction of the Brose factory in Pancevo will be laid tomorrow, in which, he said, workers will have an average salary of EUR 1,900. „This is the factory we dreamed of in Serbia, since the average salary will be EUR 1,900,“ Vucic told reporters in Novi Sad, where the cornerstone for the construction of Barry Callebaut’s new plant was laid today. The investment contract of the German company Brose, worth more than EUR 180 million, which is planned to create 1,100 jobs in Pancevo, was signed at the end of November 2019. Brose is the fourth largest family-owned company in the world that supplies the automotive industry. It develops and manufactures mechatronic systems for car doors and seats, as well as electric motors and electronics, among other things, for steering systems, brakes, gearboxes and engine cooling. About 26,000 workers in 64 locations in 24 countries generate a turnover of EUR 6.2 billion, and every other vehicle in the world, as they say, contains at least one Brose product.
