The Victor returns to Kalemegdan!
The statue of the „Victor“ will be returned to the Belgrade Fortress on February 12th, the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade has announced. The following day, from 10 am to 4 pm, all interested citizens will have the opportunity to view the exhibited sculpture on the Upper Town plateau, near the pedestal. Return to the pedestal is scheduled for February 14th, and decision on this was made during a work meeting and a visit by an expert team of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade and representatives of contractors, expert and conservation supervision to the atelier of the sculptor Dr. Zoran Kuzmanovic, who is completing the work on the restoration of the bronze sculptures of the „Victor“.
