Vucic announced: WE ARE ABOLISHING THE WINDFALL TAX for those under 40 years of age
Today, the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, announced a new employment-related policy, which, above all, benefits young people because the windfall tax for those under 40 will be abolished.
He said that the decision was made on a three-year exemption from paying taxes and contributions of up to 70 percent for people who enter the labour market for the first time, and are up to 40 years of age, and the same will apply to people working on research and development projects.
„We will abolish the obligation to pay the annual income tax for citizens under the age of 40. This is the windfall tax that everyone who has a salary higher than the average pays. It is a signal for young people that we think about them,“ said President Vucic at the press conference.
He added that all this will directly contribute to an increase in salaries of young people.
