Vucic: Shinwon employees to go to Yura or Leoni, jobs for 350 former Geox workers, too
President Vucic has confirmed in Nis that the Leoni factory would take over about twenty employees who lost their jobs in Shinwon or would not be able to continue working in Yura company, which was offered to them as a solution.
When it comes to the former employees of the Geox company in Vranje, Vucic once again promised jobs for them in the Turkish Teklas company in Vladicin Han, and this time he said that 350 of them would be hired by the end of this year.
As Vucic says, he is not afraid that the workers of Shinwon will lose their jobs, because some of them work in Yura, and only about twenty people will be laid off, but it is already certain that they will start working for Leoni.
About twenty people will be laid off, but Leoni is ready to hire them immediately. We talked to the representatives of Leoni and today we confirmed this, they are ready to employ these people who will not be able to continue working in Shinwon or in Yura, so they can start working for Leoni, Vucic said.
Although he said during a visit to Vladicin Han in early August that Teklas would immediately hire 250 persons, Vucic now says that 105 workers have been employed and 350 will be recruited by the end of this year.
„When it comes to Geox and Vranje, 390 job interviews have been conducted so far for the Teklas company, 105 individuals have already been hired, and a total of 250 are in the recruitment process. We expected 250 by the end of the year, but we believe that 350 will be hired in Teklas before the end of this year.“
