Workers from Kragujevac who offered votes to Vucic received one-time aid

Former workers of the bankrupt factory Zastava kamioni, who claim the amount of RSD 207 million for unpaid salaries in the period from 2013 to 2016, will be paid one-time financial aid, it was announced today. Workers’ representative Milojko Popovic has told the Beta agency that the Government of Serbia, based on its conclusion, approved the payment of financial aid in the amount of RSD 40,000 for 500 workers, setting aside RSD 20 million for that purpose. Funds for one-time solidarity aid will be transferred to the Social Welfare Center of Kragujevac for the purpose of paying aid to the workers of Zastava kamioni. Popovic said that the payment of financial aid was the result of negotiations between the workers’ representatives and Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic, which were held in Belgrade as of Tuesday in connection with finding a solution for settling all their claims. He stated that the agreement was accepted, but that the former workers of Zastava kamioni in bankruptcy would be satisfied when everything was implemented. As a reminder, former workers of the bankrupt factory Zastava kamioni recently offered 2,000 votes to President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, in exchange for the payment of delayed salaries. Today, they did not say whether accepting this aid meant that they would vote for the SNS, the party led by Vucic.
